Janet Quintrell Treloar RWS

Janet was born at Helston Cornwall. She studied at Penzance School of Art, followed by three years and an MA at Somerville College, Oxford. She travelled widely after her marriage and studied with various renowned tutors such as Stanislas Dombrovsky who trained at the Beaux Arts, Paris.

Janet has had a solo show on the theme of the Romanesque arch and her paintings of "Russia's Hero Cities" were exhibited at the Russian Embassy and in St Petersburg.

In January 2007, Janet went to India to paint with a group from the Royal Watercolour Society alongside Indian watercolorists, which culminated at an exhibition in Mumbai and at the Bankside Gallery, next to Tate Modern.

Apart from ongoing shows, Janet’s work on the theme of the world famous poet, Anna Akhmatova, also came to fruition in the same year and received great acclaim from an international audience at Pushkin House, Bloomsbury.
