George Galitzine was born of a Russian father and an Austrian mother, trained in print-making after Oxford and has been an art director in the film business for twenty years. He now pursues a full-time career as an artist, exhibiting all over the globe, most recently in St Petersburg and Jamaica.
He first showed at the gallery some years ago. George has always been fascinated by shop windows, likening them to theatre sets, and his latest collection celebrates London Fashion and the creation of the Sloane fashion area by Cadogan. His works combine a keen sense of colour with the line of the print maker. George works mostly in watercolour.
George's paintings of these fashion shops are being shown in the exhibition entitled 'George Galitzine - Window Shopping' at 27 Kings Road, just off Sloane Square, from Monday, October 12th to Saturday, October 24th (daily except Sunday).
